RADIESSE (Calcium hydroxylapatite):

Radiesse (Calcium hydroxylapatite) contains spheres of uniform Calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier that is found naturally in human bones and is a mineral-like compound. RADIESSE is approximately 30% CaHA and 70% gel carrier by volume.

RADIESSE is injected under the skin in a minimally invasive procedure. Injection of the product provides an immediate and visible correction to the wrinkle. There is no skin sensitivity testing or reconstitution required.

Over time, the gel is absorbed, and fibroblasts appear. The process of neocollagenesis begins, stimulating the gradual growth of the patient’s own collagen. The collagen that forms results in extended correction and increased patient satisfaction. RADIESSE builds structural scaffolding by stimulating collagen production for a year or longer after only 1 injection.

Radiesse is used for:

Moderate-to-severe creases such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines and frown lines

Improve volume in areas of facial wasting such as can occur in HIV-positive people taking certain medications

Juvederm Voluma XC is for the cheek area to give a subtle lift that increases volume and contours cheek area
Juvederm XC Is suitable for moderate or severe facial folds or wrinkles such as the fold that runs from your nose to mouth (parentheses lines)

Restylane Lyft with Lidocaine is also indicated for injection into the dorsal hand to correct volume loss.
